Alicia Kelley

Registered Veterinary Technician

I have been with Pawsh Place since January 1st, 2015, but I’ve worked in the veterinary field for 17 years. I attended Western Career College’s Veterinary Technology program and graduated in June 2003. I have a passion for canine and feline dentistry and educating clients on the importance of dental health. I also have special interests in birds and other exotics. I’ll always go the extra mile to give my clients and patients the care they deserve!

I am a mother of two children. Aidan who is 13 years old and Kennedy who is 9 years old. Both are animal lovers, like their mother. We have a house complete with three dogs, three cats, one Russian tortoise, and one eyed leopard gecko. I was formerly on the Board of Directors for Bay Area Poodle Rescue and enjoys rescuing and fostering animals in need. I also enjoy camping, hiking, gardening, and crafts!

Tiffany Mestas

Tiffany Mestas

Registered Veterinary Technician

Hi, my name is Tiffany! I’m a Registered Veterinary Technician at Pawsh Place and have been in the veterinary medicine industry for over 12 years. I have worked in multiple specialty and emergency clinics throughout my veterinary history including the Small Animal Nursing Department at UC Davis.

When I am not at Pawsh, I enjoy spending time with my family, dogs, cats, and horses. I regularly compete in competitions and horse shows, while also giving riding lessons. One of my greatest passions includes the Spay and Neuter Clinic that I began in July of 2016 for feral cats throughout Solano County. In just one year we have successfully spayed and neutered 1,017 cats in our community and look forward to these numbers growing in the future.

I love working for Pawsh because of how community-driven the entire organization is and the helpful and supportive environment that has been created by each staff member. I look forward to coming to work each day and helping you with any and all pet care needs.

Caitlin Arie-Donch

Caitlin Arie-Donch

Registered Veterinary Technician

Hi, my name is Caitlin and I am a registered veterinary technician at Pawsh Place. I received my Associates Degree in veterinary technology from Cosumnes River College and got my RVT license in April of 2017. I have always loved animals. I grew up with 2 dogs, a guinea pig and an iguana, but it was not until I was in middle school and started volunteering at the Marin Humane Society that I knew I wanted to work with animals. I looked at all the different animal careers and decided I wanted to be a vet tech. I love being able to help animals and being able to send them home better than when they came in. I got to volunteer at a spay and neuter clinic in Mexico helping Mexican citizens spay and neuter their dogs and cats at no cost to them to help reduce the population of cats and dogs. It was a great learning experience for me.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, hanging out with friends and my boyfriend. I love how everyone is so passionate about their jobs at Pawsh and truly loves animals. We are a great team and everyone works together to help each other and the patients out. I have been working at Pawsh for over 2 years and look forward to continuing to learn and grow with my Pawsh family!

Alex Kornek-Collard

Alex Kornek-Collard

Lead RVT

Hi, I’m Alex! I am an RVT and the head technician at Pawsh! I grew up riding and training horses and have 3 horses of my own (Max, Luna, and Polaris), 2 of which I rescued. I also have 3 dogs: Kara, my senior Australian Cattle Dog that is the best dog you could ask for, Abbey, my yellow Lab, and Porter my Black Lab.

I have loved all sorts of animals ever since I could remember. I grew up in a large, animal-loving, rescue-supporting family. We never had less than 10 animals in the house at a time. Whether it was volunteering at the Marine Mammal Center a few years ago or traveling the country showing and working at Arabian horse shows, my life has always been centered on animals… And I have loved every minute of it! In my spare time, I like to ride my horses and go hiking and running with my dogs. I also enjoy going to Giants games with my boyfriend.

I LOVE being a part of the Pawsh family and I look forward to caring for your pets soon!

Karlyne Hare

Karlyne Hare

Registered Veterinary Technician

My name is Karlyne (pronounced Karlin) and I’ve been at Pawsh now for almost 2 years. I recently received my RVT license, of which I am unfathomably proud. Being an RVT has been my goal in life since I was 5 years old. Although, when I was 5, I wanted to be a dog doctor! 😂

I’m currently working on my NAVC pet nutrition certification. Nutrition, internal medicine, and infectious disease are my main areas of passion. In the years to come, I hope to continue excelling in my career and adding more letters behind my name.

In the future, I hope to become a mixed practice (small animals and exotic pet) medical director. This field and your pets are the reason that I am here today. I can’t wait to meet you and your furmily!

Perla Del Rio – Estrella

Perla Del Rio – Estrella

Veterinary Assistant

Hi my name is Perla 🙂 I just finished the Veterinary Technology program at Carrington College and will be graduating in July with an AS. I am currently studying hard for my licensing exam to become an RVT. I grew up in the country around lots of farm animals and learned to love them all. I remember being in elementary school and learning what it meant to be a veterinarian and deciding this is what I want to be and I haven’t changed my mind since. I plan to go back to school soon to finish my BS and prerequisites for vet school. I love working at Pawsh Place as a veterinary assistant! I love working at a place where we all work hard to ensure each pet receives the best pet care experience possible. I have learned a lot in the brief time I’ve been here and am excited to continue my development alongside our amazing doctors and kindhearted staff. My passion is in equine medicine, but small animals have always had a special place in my heart too. I can’t wait to meet all your furry family members soon!
April Smith

April Smith

Receptionist

Hi, my name’s April and I’m a Vet Hospital Receptionist here at Pawsh Place. I live in Esparto, on 10 acres with my wonderful husband and son. I’ve had too many animals to count over the years but I currently just have two dogs, four cats (2 are barn kitties!) and 11 Alpacas… Yep, Alpacas!

I’ve worked my entire life in the Veterinary Industry, 25 years as a Vet Assistant (I loved assisting with pet dental procedures!) or in Reception. I’ve always loved animals. When I was in the 3rd grade, I brought home a stray Collie and begged my mother to allow us to keep him. After trying to find his owner first, she finally agreed we could give him a home! I remember always having multiple pets while growing up, they made our family complete. As a teenager, I fell in love with horses. A friend of mine had a stable and I remember spending all my spare time there, whenever possible. I learned how to ride, train and show horses in their arena, my favorite being an ex-race horse named Ms. Bar Roni. Most of the time we referred to her as Macaroni or Ms. Mac for short. I will always love horses, some of my fondest teenage memories are of training and showing them.

I enjoy working at Pawsh! I appreciate our pet care philosophies and love that we offer such great values to the pet community. I work with an amazing team of professionals who come to work every day committed to giving your pet the best, quality care possible. I’m proud to work here and look forward to giving you and your fur-babies a great customer experience the next time you visit! Hope to see you soon.

Tynina Spitzer

Tynina Spitzer

Head Receptionist

Hi, my name is Tynina and I’m a veterinary receptionist here at Pawsh. I love my job! I enjoy taking your calls, scheduling your pet’s appointments and welcoming in our daily patients. I love learning about your pet’s health and feel honored to help assist you with their pet care needs. I’ve always known that I wanted to work with animals. From a young age, I remember being obsessed with Lions. It’s been a dream of mine to be able to work with them and other large exotic animals ever since.

I currently have two dogs, a Chihuahua named Duchess and a Chi-Terrier mix named Cannoli. My pups are Pawsh puppies and I was actually a client before working here. I was so amazed by the high standard of care we received that I wanted to become part of the Pawsh team too. Pawsh sincerely cares about their staff members and the pet community that we serve. Every day I come to work, I feel like I’m with family, all working toward the same goal which is to give you the best pet care possible.

When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with my new husband. We love to spend time on the lake and camping with our family, friends, and fur-babies. I’m happy to help you any way I can here at Pawsh and look forward to meeting you and your pet(s) soon!

Candise Grate

Candise Grate

Client Care Coordinator

Hi, my name is Candise, I’m the Client Care Coordinator here at Pawsh Place. At Pawsh we all strive to give your pet the best care possible. I’m here to help you make the best decisions for your fur-babies including any questions you may have on financial planning of treatments and services along with helping with pet insurance. I help book your pet’s procedures and am available to address any other questions or concerns you may have.

I’ve wanted to work with animals for as long as I can remember and most of my jobs have included them. The number one thing on my bucket list is to pet a penguin! I grew up with so many different pets and would feel weird if I didn’t have at least one in my home. I currently have three dogs, Fisher my Bugg, Sailor my Boston Terrier and Tunky my English Bulldog, along with a cat named GusGus. I also have 3 kids of the human variety that are my everything.

When I’m not working I love spending time with my family and friends, hiking, camping or being at the water. Pretty much anything outdoors. I have to say the best part of the job is meeting your adorable new puppies and kittens. Who doesn’t love to snuggle a little ball of fluff? Enough about me, I’d love to know about you! Pop in to see us, I can’t wait to meet you and your fur babies soon!

Kelsey Marcus

Kelsey Marcus

Receptionist

Hey there, my name is Kelsey and I’m a receptionist here at Pawsh! My husband is in the Air Force so our family just moved to California! I was born and raised in Indiana and I also lived in Colorado for a few years. While in CO I was able to work at a dog daycare boarding facility and I loved it! I loved the atmosphere, where I could be around dogs while they socialize and interact with each other!

I decided to further my education and take an online certificate program through Animal Behavior Institute for Advanced Canine Training. I hope to one day be a dog trainer as well and use my knowledge and experience to help owners as much as I can!

My love for animals started early on, even when I was a little girl I always knew I wanted to work with them. My first-grade teacher, Mrs.Oates, had a big heart and such compassion for animals and I remember this leaving a big impact on me. To this day, I still admire and could spend hours talking with her about her passion for animals.

We have a full house at home! Two dogs, Raja and Abu, a cat, Jasmine, two birds Dantonio and Sweetie. I also have an adorable, furless, two-legged daughter Breslin. We’re a Disney, Michigan State, and animal loving family!!

I can’t wait to meet your dogs in play care and continue learning more about canine behavior! I hope to grow not only for myself but to live up to the Pawsh standard and be the best I can be!

Sarah Loban

Sarah Loban

Environmental Specialist

Hi my name is Sarah and I am new here at Pawsh Place! I currently work in the vet clinic as an environmental specialist where I get the opportunity to learn more about animal health care. For as long as I can remember I would beg my mom for pets, we’ve had snakes, rabbits, dogs, and cats… Even rats! With my love for animals, I knew I wanted to work with and help them when I grew up. I’m planning on becoming a Vet Assistant/Tech and also have hopes of one day becoming a Veterinarian. Working at Pawsh gives me valuable pet care experience and the opportunity to be hands-on with animals and their medical care! The supportive atmosphere here makes me even more passionate about having a career helping animals! When I’m not at Pawsh, I out riding and showing horses, enjoying adventuring outdoors, and raising pigs for fair! I take every opportunity I can to be around animals, this is just another reason why Pawsh is such a good fit for me! Hope to meet you and your pets soon!
