William Speakman

Hospital Environmental Specialist

Hello, my name is William Speakman, I’ve been the environmental specialist at Pawsh Place for about 7 years. I was born in South Korea and raised overseas before moving to the United States with my family.

I got into the pet care industry looking for a fresh start after my previous employment and was referred to Pawsh since they were looking for additional personnel. I enjoy being here because we all have the same goal, and that’s saving animals in our community.

I want to make life easier for everyone here at Pawsh. Time management is essential in our daily work schedule. It’s a fast-paced work environment that requires proper pacing and organization in order to function every day. That includes keeping our work environment safe and disinfected for our staff and community pets.

We have 3 dogs in my family, the oldest is our border collie, Hana. She’s 15 years old and is still as lively as ever when it comes to food. I have two Shi Tzu’s named Nala and Maya. They’re really spoiled and get everyone’s attention.

My hobbies include collecting old coins for historical purposes, as well as watching a lot of YouTube videos where I can expand my knowledge of stock market investing.

Hospital Reception

Being born and raised here in Vacaville, it’s quite a blessing to be able to work in the town in which I live. I’ve always been a dog person, so having the opportunity to work with them every day, just can’t get any better. I feel that working with the public, we are, in a sense, also providing a much-needed service.

Pawsh is very family-oriented, and I’m very excited to have been a part of it for almost 5 years. When I’m not working I’m home taking care of my three kids and dog Buddy.

Hospital Reception / Groomer

My name is Kayla and I was born and raised in Reno, NV, but I’ve lived in Vacaville for about nine years now, and have been working at Pawsh for about 6.

I have two dogs, a yellow lab named Whisky and a German shorthair pointer named Barley. They are my and my boyfriend Bill’s whole world!

I’ve been working at Pawsh Place for three and a half years as a bather, and within a few months, I was doing full grooms.

Since I was a kid, I’ve always wanted to work with animals and this is a perfect fit. I absolutely LOVE my job! I enjoy making your pets look and feel great while loving them at the same time.

Pawsh is definitely a family away from home with wonderful people that take care of all your pets’ needs.

Hospital Reception / Groomer

Hi there! My name is Darian, and I work as both a grooming assistant and retail receptionist here at Pawsh Place. I have always had a love for animals and wanted to be a part of a practice that also shared that passion.

I’ve worked at Pawsh for 5 years! I started in our playcare program, then worked as a receptionist in our retail pet boutique, and now I’m joining the grooming department! I’ve enjoyed all my positions here and am looking forward to gaining more knowledge and experience about pet grooming!

I have two pets of my own, Brother & Luca, who are both full of energy and keep me busy while I’m not working at Pawsh.

A fun fact about me is that I love to joke. However, I never lie and always tell the truth even if nobody likes it.

Vet Assistant

Growing up around Veterinary Medicine, I have seen how rewarding this field can be to help both pets and pet parents! Saving furry lives is one thing, but I also hope to one day provide accessible and affordable pet care to underserved areas back home in Los Angeles, CA.  While doing so, I also aspire to honor my late grandfather’s legacy by following in his footsteps and becoming a third-generation veterinarian.
In my off time I enjoy going to the gym and traveling.  I have a Belgian Malinois named Molly. My boyfriend and I like to say she’s very jolly! I always look forward to coming home to her after a long day.
While in the process of applying to vet school this year, I wanted to work at a clinic that not only provided a healthy work environment, but also many opportunities to learn-which is exactly what Pawsh Place has to offer! The Pawsh team has been nothing but amazingly supportive, and Dr Hatt has been a great mentor/teacher. I look forward to seeing what my future at Pawsh has to hold in the next year!
