Dr. Sharon Chancellor, DVM
Pets have always held a special place in my heart. I’ve been raised around animals my entire life and consider each of them to be an important part of my family. My family share these values, my Mom even tolerated a snake that I found and brought home when I was a kid! ☺ I’ll especially remember my vet school, Pit rescue, Bailey Boo. Bailey was an awesome dog and had a patient temperament.
As Vet Students, we could always count on Bailey to ‘volunteer’ for our rotations. For as long as I can remember, I’ve always been interested in knowing everything I could about animals, so learning to care for them is just in my blood. Even as a veterinarian, I still love learning new things about pet care every day. I also value my relationship with each pet owner! While examining my patient, I can really identify with the concerns of my pet owner. I appreciate how they feel and treat their pet as if they were my own.
I’m thrilled to be part of the Pawsh Place! I love being a part of a team that practices up to date, modern medicine and also provides such excellent client care service! Pawsh has a warm and friendly environment and is a perfect fit for me. On my time off, I enjoy sewing. I’m also a huuuge Star Wars Geek, Disney Fanatic and a big Marvel & DC Fan! Oh, and did I mention that I’m a Walking Dead Faithful… Never miss an episode!! (Happy Trails, looking forward to meeting you and your fur-family soon!)
Teresa Binion – Head Registered Veterinary Technician
Hi, I’m Teresa and I’m a Registered Veterinary Technician. I got my degree from the Cosumnes River College Veterinary Technology Program in 2001. I was licensed shortly thereafter and have been in the veterinary field since 1999. Since that time I have enjoyed working in a small animal day practice and in emergency and critical care services. In specific, I’ve been a tech at UC Davis in the Large Animal Intensive Care Unit, Neonatal ICU, Ultrasound, Surgery, Medicine, small and large animal Physical Rehabilitation, as well as small animal surgery and nursing. I have over 18 years of hands on experience with large, small and exotic animals. I have a deep love for animals and am particularly interested in behavior and nursing care. I live on a ranch with my husband and 5 kids in addition to dogs, cats, horses, pigs, chickens peacocks and a rabbit. I’m very excited to be part of the Pawsh team and look forward to helping you with your pet care needs.
Jordan Dosker – Veterinary Student
Hi, I’m Jordan! I’ve lived in Vacaville my entire life, graduated from Vacaville High School in 2012 and studied animal science at Cal Poly University. I enjoy science and medicine and have always known that I wanted to be a veterinarian. I’m especially interested in the sustainable livestock aspect of veterinary medicine. I’m currently a 2nd year vet student at the University of Glasgow in Scotland. I started working at Pawsh in July of 2016 because I wanted to broaden my hands-on experience in veterinary medicine. I’m learning so much and really enjoyed my time working here when I’m not away at school.
As I return to Scotland to continue my education, I’m looking forward to applying my newly developed skills. The Pawsh staff and local community have been very supportive of my aspirations and I’m happy to share my journey with all of you!
Alicia Kelley – Veterinary Assistant
I’m Alicia and have been an assistant at Pawsh Place since January 1st, 2015, but have worked in the veterinary field for 14 years. I attended Western Career College’s Veterinary Technology Program. I’m a mother of two children. Nine year old Aiden and five year old Kennedy are both animal lovers, just like their mom! We have 3 dogs, 2 cats, 1 russian tortie, and 3 fish at home.
I was formerly on the Board of Directors for Bay Area Poodle Rescue and enjoys fostering a rescuing animals in need. I also love camping, hiking, gardening and crafts. I’m very passionate about pet dentistry and educating my clients. I’ll always go that extra mile to give my clients and patients the care they deserve.
Heather – Environmental Specialist
Heather is new to the vet field, but she is not new to being an animal lover. She has continuously enjoyed learning more about your pet’s health and well-being. Heather says the best part of her day is meeting and greeting all of the pets that come in. We are excited for Heather’s future at Pawsh Place Veterinary Center.
Kristen Timmermans – Registered Veterinary Technician
Hi I’m Kristen and I’m a Registered Veterinary Technician at Pawsh Place. I attended Carrington College and received my Associate’s Degree in science and have 3 years’ experience in the vet field. I find it very fulfilling helping animals and love being a pet care provider. I was born and raised in Vacaville and have a 3 year old fur baby named Riley. In my free time, I like to get outdoors and go hiking or fishing with my boyfriend and friends. I’m very proud to be a part of a team that cares so much about our local pet community and am excited to see where my career leads to as part of the Pawsh family!
Marisa Dallas- Veterinary Assistant
Hi! My name is Marisa and I’m a veterinary assistant here at Pawsh. I completed the Veterinary Technology program at Carrington College, have been working as a vet assistant for the last 3 years and am now working toward becoming an RVT. Eventually I plan on going back to school to specialize as a Surgical Technician… I love anesthesia, how it works, and that it is something you can never learn enough of. Being able to be with my patient before, during, and throughout recovery is something that is very rewarding to me. I am a mother of 2; Mia who is 8 and Lucas who is 2. We enjoy all kinds of adventures, bbqing with friends, camping in the summer, movies, or hanging out at home and working on our dream one project at a time. I’ve known since before I can remember that I wanted to work with animals and I feel fortunate that I get to say that I love what I do every day. I am excited to be a part of the team at Pawsh and look forward to the path it leads me down.
Alex Kornek-Collard, Veterinary Assistant
Hi, I’m Alex! I am a veterinary assistant at Pawsh and have worked in the field for 4 years now. I am also a student at Carrington College in the Veterinary Technology program and hope to become a Registered Veterinary Technician by the end of the year! I grew up riding and training horses and have 3 horses of my own (Max, Luna and Polaris), 2 of which I rescued. I also have 3 dogs: Kara, my senior Australian Cattle Dog that is the best dog you could ask for, Abbey, my yellow Lab, and Porter my Black Lab puppy.
I have loved all sorts of animals ever since I could remember. I grew up in a large, animal-loving, rescue-supporting family. We never had less than 10 animals in the house a time. Whether it was volunteering at the Marine Mammal Center a few years ago or traveling the country showing and working at Arabian horse shows, my life has always been centered on animals… And I have loved every minute of it! In my spare time I like to ride my horses and go hiking and running with my dogs. I also enjoy going to Giants games with my boyfriend.
I’m a recent addition to the Pawsh family, but have loved every day! I look forward to seeing where my career takes me and caring for your pets soon!
Jenn Roark, Veterinary Assistant
Hi I’m Jenn! I’m a veterinary assistant at Pawsh Place and I’m a huge animal lover. I just recently finished my degree at Carrington College in Veterinary Technology, and now I’m on my way to becoming an RVT. I have two amazing fur babies, Bentley and Stella, and an amazing fiancé who I get to marry next July. Ever since I was little animals have always been a huge passion of mine. I look forward to continuing my education and I can’t wait to see where I end up in this career field. When I’m not at school or work I love being in the cheer gym working with my kids. Coaching cheerleading is another passion of mine and it’s amazing that I get to influence so many young lives on a daily basis and watch them grow into amazing young athletes. I’m so blessed to be a part of the Pawsh Place family, and I can’t wait to meet you and your fur babies as well!
William Speakman – Environmental Specialist
I’m from a military family where I was raised overseas before coming here to California. I enjoy reading, watching shows and walking my dogs. My favorite animal is the tiger. I worked at a car dealership and have done volunteer work for charity.
I enjoy working with animals because they are just like people. They come in all different shapes and sizes and each have a unique way of communicating. There are plenty of programs to support people in need, unfortunately I feel there aren’t enough resources and people who want to help animals. I like working at Pawsh so I can help provide animal care for our community.
My favorite moment is welcoming a new family pet home for the first time and letting them steal my heart. I have been living with pets ever since I was little. The experience allowed me to develop close friendships as well as creating long lasting memories that I will always cherish.
Sabrina J. Newkirk – Retail Manager
I am a daughter, a wife, a friend and loving mom to my two cute dogs Bella and Bango. In my spare time I like to be active. I like to walk with my dogs and husband, BBQ by the pool and spend time with family and friends.
I’m from Germany but immediately felt at home in Vacaville while first living here in 2011 so I decided to come back. To me Vacaville is a great place to live and work. My degrees are in history, business & marketing so being the Retail Manager at Pawsh is a perfect fit for me!
Since I was a little girl I was always an animal lover. I walked the neighborhood dogs, took care my of auntie’s kitty when she was on vacation, and saved tons of frogs passing busy roads during the mating season.
From the moment I heard about Pawsh Place I was excited. I fell in love with the idea having the best veterinary, grooming, training and retail boutique services all under one roof and today I’m grateful to be a part of the Pawsh team. As pet lover I understand your expectations and wishes when it comes to taking care of your beloved pets. I welcome you to try out all of our pet services and am looking forward to giving you a great shopping experience!
I’m proud to be a part of the Pawsh team because we’re all very diverse. We each have different backgrounds, educations and skills but we all share the same team vision. We strive to provide extraordinary pet care and support each other to be the best we can be at our jobs. I feel very fortunate to be working at Pawsh, it’s a great feeling to be a part of and enrich the community that I love to live in.
Hope to see you soon.
Jamey Ashley – Head Receptionist
I’m originally from Southern California. We moved up here 10 years ago because my husband got stationed at Travis AFB. I have a passion about animals and have always been interested in helping them in any way possible. I’m in school now, working toward being a veterinary tech. My kids, Tegan 15 yrs and Vernon 10 yrs, are also big animal lovers. We have 3 fur-critters; a guinea pig (Cuddles), rabbit (Thumper) and a chinchilla (Chilly). I would have so many animals if I could, but since I don’t have the room; we have volunteered at ranches just to be with or help out with all sorts of animals. I’m very fond of horses and use to ride a lot when I was younger. My family and I love being outdoors, hiking, camping, surfing and paddle boarding. I love caring for animals and am very excited to be a part of the Pawsh Place family!
Katie Rose – Receptionist
I’m a very happy and warm hearted girl who has loved animals all my life! I always dreamed as a little girl to have a pup-family of my own. After marrying my wonderful husband, we adopted our Paperanian, Nellie. Our sweet Nellie is our world and we can’t imagine our life without her. My husband and I moved to Vacaville a little over two years ago and fell in love with the town.
After visiting Pawsh with my joyful little Paperanian, I knew this was the place for me! Nellie & I had an incredible experience as a first time client & patient. We instantly felt so cared for and valued. I’m new to the pet care world and am very excited to be working with the amazing doctors and friendly staff. Everyone at Pawsh is so welcoming! When you bring your pet in, you’ll both feel like family here!
William Sun – Play Care Coach & Grooming Assistant
My name’s Will, and I’ve been a Vacaville native much like the rest of the staff. I’m a big dog enthusiast, and my current obsession is with husky dogs. I’ve been a long-time volunteer at animal rescues, and can never get rid of my passion for helping out pets, which are really people’s family members of a different species. I graduated from CSU Sacramento with a degree in Business Administration, and hope to use it any way I can towards my love of our furry companions.
I’ve always admired the work of veterinarians and still wish to pursue my dreams of finding the right balance between caring for animals and utilizing my skills. That’s why I feel excited to work for Pawsh, to be be able to really experience all aspects of pet care with such a tight-knit team. There really is no better place to be with such a welcoming environment that cares about the community that I’ve grown up in so much.
Anyway, when I’m not working, you can probably find me running for fun (and fitness!) or cooking. Another dream of mine is to become like Gordon Ramsay but we’ll see about that one.
Casey Manivong – Receptionist
Hi, I’m Casey. I’m from North Carolina, but moved here in 2014 after my husband got stationed at Travis AFB. My husband and I have 5 fur babies which include 2 dogs (Mika and Maple) and our 3 guinea pigs (Momo, Babs, and Oreo). I graduated from East Carolina University in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Services. I worked at an inpatient rehabilitation program for adolescents for over a year before moving to California. I have also spent 5+ years working various retail jobs with an overall total of 9 years providing customer service.
On my down time I like to crochet or my husband and I will take our dogs hiking. I have recently taken up running even though I swore it was something I would never do. I also enjoy board games, reading, and cooking.
Growing up dogs were always a big part of our family and I could never picture my life without them. Slowly my love for animals grew from just dogs to all animals and they have now become my passion. I’m thrilled to be part of the Pawsh family and can’t wait to see where this journey will take me.
Meoldy Bargon – Play Care Coach
Hi, I’m Melody! I’ve been with team Pawsh since August 2016 and I work in our play care department. You can find me playing on the turf while supervising and socializing your pups! I love my position and find it so satisfying when I can help improve the general behavior of our clients. Dogs are pack animals and they need each other, there is no better feeling for me than to see them being able to engage with one another in a fun and positive environment. Don’t have the time to exercise your dog during the week? Bring them to me and I’ll be happy to give them the care they need to be healthier and happier for you and your family! I have three kids and a dog named Harley, who’s an awesome Pit/Rott mix. I’ve always known that I wanted to work with animals and I have found my home here at Pawsh Place! I’m hoping to play with your pup soon and I look forward to meeting them soon.
Jessica Cameron – Receptionist
Hi! My name is Jessica and I moved to Travis AFB in December 2015 from Germany. I have always loved animals and decided to start turning my passion for them into my career. I am currently enrolled as a veterinary assistant student at Animal Behavior College and look forward to learning and train here at Pawsh Place Veterinary Center. After adopting my cat from an animal shelter, I wanted to be a part of providing love and care for all the animals that are still looking for their forever homes. So I started volunteering at the local animal shelter by walking dogs and interacting with cats. I look forward to continuing my studies as a veterinary assistant, which will hopefully give me a solid foundation to eventually become a veterinary technician. I’m excited to be a part of the Pawsh family and look forward to meeting you and your pets!
Jen Sventek – Receptionist
Hello, my name is Jennifer, most folks just call me Jen. ☺
I was born in the Philippines and am ½ Philipino and ½ Czech. I was raised a military brat and moved to this area when I was in the 2nd grade.
I love the great outdoors! When I’m not working, you can find me exploring trails, from the bay area to the redwoods and camping next to the pigmy forests. Fishing and four-wheeling are activities that I’m interested in trying next with my 3 year old son.
I love animals and have been known to help rescue and care for them when necessary. I don’t currently have any pets but my girlfriend and I would like to eventually add a fur-baby to our active, family of three!
Millie Manaoat – Pet Bather & Boutique
Hi, my name is Millie! My pets are a big part of my life, I love to make sure they feel good and look good too. Working at Pawsh allows me to give your pets that same experience. Bathing dogs is one of my many joys in life whether it’s making them nice and fluffy or getting that shed hair off, I love seeing the end result. My favorite part is giving your pets back and seeing how happy your pets are to see you!
From time to time you’ll see me working in the pet boutique, probably wearing some bright colored lipstick! We carry awesome pet products and treats in our boutique. I’d be happy to help you choose the perfect gift on your next visit and hope to see you then.
Caitlin Berchiolli – Receptionist
Hi there, I’m Caitlin! I recently moved to Vacaville from the San Diego area in August of 2016 with my boyfriend of eight years. I first found Pawsh Place as a client and then decided I liked it so much I wanted to work here! I’m currently working part time as a receptionist for Pawsh as I continue to pursue my Bachelor’s degree in Evolutionary Anthropology at UC Davis. My boyfriend and I have two cats named Sheldon and Winnie, a rat named Rataca, and a Chihuahua mix named Gibson. In my spare time (which is hard to come by these days!), I enjoy reading, photography, going to museums/zoos, traveling, and going to the movies.
I have six years of experience in the veterinary field as both a receptionist and an assistant. I feel lucky to have had other interesting animal-related experiences as well, such as working in an aquarium and volunteering for a small zoo! After I finish my bachelor’s degree, I hope to utilize it in order to continue working with animals, perhaps in a zoo setting or something similar. I’m excited to use my previous knowledge and experience at Pawsh, the staff’s diverse backgrounds and knowledge will help me as I continue to learn and grow in the animal care field.
Darci Chadwick – Director of Marketing & Public Contact
Hi, welcome to Pawsh Place!
I’m Darci and I love being a part of this amazing Pawsh team! I am a wife, proud mother of four awesome kids and have enjoyed living in Vacaville for the last 25 years. I’ve been a local business owner and am very involved in local sports, clubs and charities. I care about our community and love the fact that Pawsh is a locally owned business. It gives me great pride to work for a business that supports and enriches our local organizations. I love animals and grew up having them as a part of my family. I’m a passionate pet owner! I’ve adored many pets throughout my life but both my German Shepard and first Boston Terrier will always hold very special places in my heart. My family is currently blessed with two pawsome pets, our Boston Terrier, Reya (My Rey a sunshine!) and our sweet Morkie named Vallie (a Valentine’s surprise!) Dr. Hatt was my Veterinarian before I started working with Pawsh so I have experienced firsthand the incredible service that she provides to her pet families. I knew after our first visit that I wouldn’t trust my pets with anyone else. Pawsh offers a variety of pet services and I love being able to share that value with our local pet community. Our staff is wonderfully talented and kind, each of us are dedicated to delivering you and your fur family the very best pet care experience possible.
Thanks for stopping by, we hope to see you soon!
Kimberly Anderson ~ Director of Administration, RVT
Hi there! My name is Kimberly and I’m the Director of Administration here at Pawsh Place. I started my adventure in veterinary medicine in 1997 during my senior year of high school. I later attended Cosumnes River College and earned a degree in Veterinary Technology. I became a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2001 and have been fortunate to work in many different roles within veterinary medicine. I have small animal experience in general practice, emergency and critical care, surgery (neurology, oncology, orthopedics and soft tissue), anesthesia, and academia. I have also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Sciences and am currently working towards a Masters in Business Administration.
When I am not enjoying my time at Pawsh, I can be found having fun with my husband, our son and our three legged dog Murphy. I was fortunate enough to adopt Murphy from a shelter in February 2014 after he had been hit by a car. Many steps were taken but we were unable to save his leg, which has not slowed him down one bit!! I enjoy doing many different activities with my boys and enjoy teaching my son about the amazing world of animals!
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me, I really look forward to helping you and your furry family with your pet care needs!
